Itineraries

Tuscia was named by its former inhabitants, who used to live here many centuries ago, and to the title it was given in the Middle Age: Patrimonio di S. Pietro in Tuscia. Today, the town is under the province of Viterbo and is in the north of Rome, among Umbria, Tuscany and the Tyrrhenian Sea.

Its landscape is stunningly varied, stretching from the luxuriant Cimini Mounts to Maremma sunny coasts, to the deep canyons etched into the tuff by centuries of erosion and the Lake of Bolsena intense blue. Passing through these places so full of art and history, you will be enchanted by delightful mediaeval towns and villages, marvellous Renaissance villas, austere Romanesque churches, necropolis and museums scattered around the birthplace of the Etruscan civilisation.
