The lavender spindle (cannuga in Sardinian) is an ancient Sardinian hand-crafted object, that grandmothers historically used to prepare, with skilful weaves and coloured ribbons, in the warm summer evenings, when lavender fields were in full bloom, traditionally using 40 / 50 spikes of the precious flower.
