A now rare honey, so precious, with an enchanting and delicate flavor. Delicious, as always, available in the smaller 220 g jar (\u20ac5) in addition to the usual 500 g format (\u20ac8). <\/p>\n
You will find the new lavender honey 2015 at our agriturismo shop (La Piantata – Arlena di Castro VT) and at the sales point in Tuscania (via Torre di Lavello, 19) or, if you prefer, we ship via courier throughout Italy…<\/p>\n

\nProduction Location<\/p>\n
Arlena di Castro, organic farm “La Piantata” located at 385 meters above sea level.<\/p>\n
Produced by our bees, whose hives have been positioned away from intensive cultivation and pollution sources, at the foot of our organic lavender fields. It is cold-extracted to preserve its properties intact.

\nProperties <\/p>\n
Soothing for inflamed throat and calming for vocal cords. It has analgesic, antiseptic, and bactericidal properties. Excellent for combating insomnia, promoting digestion, and for calming and relieving dry cough.
\nThe Virtues of Lavender Honey <\/p>\n
Since ancient times, honey was considered the “Food of the Gods” and was valued not only as a natural sweetener but also as a true remedy, by virtue of its components. Recommended in children’s diets for its easy digestibility and its ability to strengthen their natural immune defenses and promote their muscular development; essential in the diet of the elderly and the sick, and anyone requiring immediate energy necessary for physical activity. <\/p>\n
It contains iron, manganese, and other minerals, making it very useful for anemic or inappetent individuals. The sugars that compose honey are mostly simple sugars (fructose and glucose), more easily digestible and natural sources of energy for our body. This makes honey a preferable food compared to white sugar, which we commonly use.
