Tuscania, the city of Lavender, hosts the Lavender Festival for the 8th consecutive year, taking place on June 30 and July 1.
The 8th Edition of the Lavender Festival will take place in the historic center of Tuscania, filling alleyways and small squares in the setting of Tor di Lavello Park: between June 30 and July 1, everything will revolve around the lilac of lavender, with stalls presenting products obtained from lavender distillation and essential oil, honey, plants, and even lavender-flavored ice cream.
A plant, lavender, known and used by humans for over 2,500 years, since it was used for the preparation of lucky charms and love spells, for its intense and intoxicating fragrance. The art of cosmetic preparation and natural remedies discovers, in this way, a new season, enhancing tradition, which combines ingredients such as extra virgin olive oil with essential oils. Many fields in the Tuscia area of Viterbo have become a sea of lavender, with more than 20 companies engaged in the production of this medicinal plant, making this a magical place to immerse yourself in the lilac and silence of this landscape, where time seems to flow slowly and sweetly.
